Careers
We are always looking for mission-driven A-players.
Candidly, we are a 3-year-old bootstrapped startup, ran by two kids. Do not work with us if you want to get paid well.
That being said, if that didn’t scare you away, and you’re this deep in our website, you may be a fit.

Mediocrity will not be tolerated.
Obsessive action is the expectation.
Anything less than unreasonable effort will be seen as an insult to the rest of the team.
This is not an “as long as you get x done, you’re good” job. This is a “do as much as you possibly can” job.
Optimizers want the most for the least. Maximizers want the most. This is no place for optimizers.

Creative Engineer
We’re hiring a Creative Engineer to edit all of our shortform and longform videos, and build automations across the business.
You will be responsible for finishing every piece of content we post, as well as automating the editing process.
We put a lot of effort into our shorts. We make a lot of the props, do crazy stunts, and make our own practical effects. We are going to film these, and make them our longform vlogs.
You will lead our longform content, editing useful, brand-building, entertaining vlogs (hard) and talking-head direct-to-camera videos (easy).
You will repurpose/retitle old videos to be more fitting for LinkedIn, as we have a huge opportunity for growth there.
We need someone who’s a nose-to-the-grindstone creative with a relentless obsession for speed and quality.
Responsibilities
- Edit all videos
- – 14 shorts a week (working up to 21, then 28)
- – 2 longforms/week (working up to more: vlogs and talking heads)
- Manage posting all videos
- Build applications and automations for editing
- Potentially filming (for select vlogs and higher-lift videos)
Prerequisites
- Must be fluent in Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Must really love our content, otherwise you won’t like this job
- Must want to work 14-hour days
Location
- Austin
- Flexible on in-person vs. remote days (5+ in-person days per week)
- Support for relocation will be provided
Results / Goals
- I give zero feedback on videos and eventually don’t have to check them
- I don’t handle posting at all
- Significant growth on LinkedIn
- Significant growth on X
- Editing becomes so fast/automated that writing and filming are the bottleneck
- All currently manual but automatable tasks are automated with 99% success rate
- Significant growth on YouTube longform
- Excellent longforms: views, brand, value, entertainment
Compensation
$50,000 – $60,000
The salary range may be inclusive of several levels applicable to the position. Final salary will be based on a number of factors including level, relevant prior experience, skills, and expertise. This range is only inclusive of base salary.

You will spearhead the in-person part of Reid Olson Media: planning, coordinating, and executing events, speaking opportunities, and other inbound opportunities. We can get butts in seats. It’s your job to make sure there are seats, and to make sure I don’t forget it’s happening.
You will be in charge of handling shoot logistics: permits, equipment, location coordination.
